Annual Concert Draws Record Audience and funds

Over £2,000 Raised Through the Power of Music, Community and Kindness

What an incredible afternoon.

To everyone who gave up part of your Sunday to support the Children’s Bereavement Centre — thank you.

Time is one of the most valuable things we can give, and we are truly grateful that so many people chose to spend theirs with us at our Music from the Movies & Musicals charity concert at the Palace Theatre Newark.

Most importantly, together we raised an amazing £2190 to support bereaved children and young people across our local communities.

Events like this only happen because of people coming together, and so many incredible individuals helped make the day such a success:

🎻 50 phenomenal musicians from Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra
🎟️ 250 audience members who bought tickets and filled the theatre with support and kindness
🎢 33 fantastic choir members who brought energy and emotion to the stage
πŸ‘ Our brilliant front of house volunteers
πŸ›οΈ The volunteers and stewards at the Palace Theatre
πŸ’‘ The theatre management and technical team

Special thanks to our wonderful host Simon Gabbitas, who seamlessly knitted the entire afternoon together and kept everything flowing perfectly.

As Elton John famously asked: "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"

We certainly could.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, bought raffle tickets, supported behind the scenes or simply helped spread the word.

Your support means that bereaved children and young people across our communities can continue to receive specialist support when they need it most.

Thank you for being part of something so special.
