All the children and young people accessing support from the Children's Bereavement Centre are experiencing trauma due to the death or terminal illness of someone they love. Those we support have often experienced the death of a parent, both parents, grandparents or siblings which can turn their lives upside down.
It is a very distressing and overwhelming time and often without the right kind of support from us and their families, their emotional, mental and/or physical health can be affected now and in the future.
We believe all children and young people deserve the support they need, when they need it.
But we can't achieve that alone.
During the last 18 years, you have helped to bring hope to thousands of children and young people facing what is probably the most devastating time in their lives. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to support those who are sad, frightened, lonely, angry or confused by empowering them to cope with their grief and have have happier and healthy childhoods.
Only 4% of our funding comes from the government. Everything else is raised through your generous donations and fundraising. We need to raise more than £330,000 a year and you can help us do this. We can provide ideas and support for your fundraising to help you reach and exceed your target.
We also have lots of different volunteering opportunities, so if you would like to help make positive difference to the lives of hundreds of local children, young people and their families and become a vital part of our team please contact us here
