"I received help from the Children's Bereavement Centre in 2016 after a very difficult time in my life. The service I received was amazing and helped me understand I wasn't alone and there are many other children and young people going through similar situations. I had some 1-1 counselling sessions and attended the 2 day bereavement camp in summer 2016. I came back with new understandings and wanting to give back to this worthwhile charity. My family and I have been fundraising ever since and have raised a substantial amount of funds to help others. I am now one of the young ambassadors at the CBC and try my hardest to volunteer at events even though I have to travel from Sutton-in-Ashfield. The thing I gain most from volunteering at the CBC is the knowledge of knowing I can help make a small difference to a child/young person and their family at what is one of their most emotional and vulnerable times of their lives. Knowing from past experience how they changed my future is something that makes me feel proud to support the CBC, kids are the future and deserve the help now." Volunteer Young Ambassador Role Our Volunteer Young Ambassadors are invaluable and make a meaningful difference to the charity. It is the gift of time that you can bring that will help us to expand our services and support, to benefit as many bereaved families as possible. We need you to help us to develop our services for young people by sharing your ideas and views at monthly meetings in person or via TEAMS. Your voice really does matter. Manage Cookie Preferences
